I am a professional storyteller as well as a tour guide and I offer walking tours of Edinburgh and the surrounding areas. This includes: The Royal Mile, the Castle, Holyrood, the Historic Old Town, the Georgian New Town, St Giles Catherdral, Greyfriars Kirk, Rosslyn, Queensferry and Stirling (the Castle, Bannockburn, and Wallace Monument)

I was born in the Highlands of Scotland. I am now settled in Edinburgh. I have a background in drama, which led to me becoming a listed professional storyteller. I cut my teeth as a guide on the open top tour buses of Edinburgh. Rather an optimistic vehicle considering our schizophrenic weather, the roofless bus is a great way to see the city but not so much fun when the sky starts to frown. Passing the statue of the great James Young Simpson, pioneer of anaesthesia, I said we really should take our hats off to him. The wind promptly whipped off the stetson of the American in front of me and landed it on Sir James' lap!
