About Me:
|
Have been guiding since 1989 and still at it due to my passion for this profession. I am also the founder and the sole person in setting up the KK Heritage Walk. Wheneve r possible, I also train and do lectures at Tourism Institute for new and senior guides. I am a registered trainer for Tourism Malaysia. Whenever possible too, with any spare time, would try to give some advice to visiting tourists at TripAdvisor and others.

My Experiences:
|
Visiting Sabah provides for good cross cultural experiences and close encounter with the nature and wild animals.
Though many speak English here but the different accent and slang might make life difficult as one dear old gentleman experienced when he tried to order a cup of hot coffee ended up with a "hot dog" while yet another was given some"Gardenia" bread when he utter a foul word in "Hokkien".
In the nature, one has to take extra care as one lady realised when she was hugged by a orang utan to her delight and later found out that she smelled like "SHIT". Cos, the orang utan must have left some of it on her. I have a lady running out of her chalet when she encounter a "Gecko" on her wall and yet another spent the whole night sleepless, worrying whether the spider on the ceiling might falls on her!
Ever been chased by animals? I had and so had my guests. A lady was carrying some snacks in a plastic bag against my advice and minutes later, both of us were running for our dear lives when a wild monkey decided to grab the bag from her.
If anyone tells you that orang utan are slow on the ground, they are wrong as two girls and myself found out to our dismay when running down a nature trail, with an orang utan right behind our heels and he was fast!
