We offer standardized and specialized tours throughout the local area and greater Bosnia, specifically designed for your group. We have three “standard” tour packages, but will work with you to ensure you have a positive and memorable experience visiting our country!
WALKING TOUR SARAJEVO-Depending on the size of your group, our walking tour can be tailored to last between one and six hours and begins with a sightseeing stop at the National Library (Vijećnica). There you will learn some basic “starter” facts about the history of Bosnia and Herzegovina, including the establishment of the barracks Zuta and Bijela Tabija (17th century) and fortress Jajce (19th century), plus amusing history of the Inat kuća (Obstinate house)and Šeher Čehajina bridge. From the National Library we will proceed on our walking tour with Baščaršija the “Old Town from 15th century “of Sarajevo. We will stop as well assorted 16th and 17th century landmarks, including Old orthodox church , the only preserved Caravan Saray and of course the most beautiful from Ottoman period-Gazi Husrev Begova mosque (16th century) We will continue on the Gavrilo Princip bridge, the flash point where the First World War began. Only short distance down river from this famous bridge we will conclude our tour with a visit to 16th century Old Temple synagogue, Roman Catholic Cathedral. We would also be happy to make arrangements to stop at a local café for refreshments or a memorable lunch or dinner in one of the popular restaurants.
Our panoramic sightseeing tour are increasingly popular, allowing you to more fully experience the rich history of Sarajevo while being whisked between points of interesting climate controlled environment.
On this tour you can learn about local history (as detailed or brief as you prefer), visit to the 1984 Winter Olympic stadium, a drive down Sniper alley , visit the spring of the river Bosna (carriage rides possible), from the surrounding hills unforgettable view of the city (Bijela Tabija, Zuta Tabija, Zmajevac).
WAR PERIOD TOUR
Though a tragic episode in our history, we’ve found many people would like to learn about the war period and the Siege of Sarajevo. As such, we’ve tailored a specialty tour to cover in detail what the citizens of Sarajevo experienced during the war.
Although most of our tours are conducted in the local area, we also offer guided tours of other Bosnian cities including Mostar, Travnik, Neum, Tuzla, and Međugorje. Although comparable with our standard tour rates, our prices vary on these tours depending on your needs…please coordinate with us for exact costs.
We also offer “culture guide” services for your group’s lunches or dinners at substantially reduced prices over our standard tours. Prices again will vary, so please contact us for details.
Our standard tours are conducted in the local Bosnian language or English; however, we can arrange for your tour to be guided in other languages at a nominal additional charge. Again, please contact us for details.
